Dave Hartz from Scottsville, NY has assembled a tidy looking street tracker from a 2000 1200cc Sportster. He was able to get one of the last SuperTrapp exhausts before they went out of business. Not only that, but he had it coated in black. The only other tracker with black pipes was my first one, which sold ages ago. Now there are two in the USA. Notice that Dave employed twin discs.
Dave was the first recipient of my new hidden headlight system. Basically, the kit is a black fiberglass box which mounts to the forks. The box hides the wiring as did the stock lamp. An AMA number plate Velcros to the box. The headlight mounts under the lower tree and shoots over the tire and turns with the forks.
I see from Dave’s photo that I need to make a number plate with an edge to hide the edge of the box. It is a bit untidy as is. We learn by failing. Dave, nice job.
